Open your heart and enjoy the trip! As a shoe-string traveler in my youth and an aspiring writer in middle age, I met a kindred spirit in the young Carlos Caggiani. This book struck a powerful chord within me as I enjoyed the rare privilege of viewing the world of 1966 through such an insightful perspective. I was particularly struck by his perspective of the United States in the not-so-distant past and the changes that have occurred and are still going on. I don’t read Spanish but can only assume that the translation in to English was well done as the book certainly captivated me.
